Our work

The top priority of Waterfowlers' Network is to encourage and facilitate the contribution of Northwest European hunters to cross-border management and sustainable use of huntable waterbirds. This work will include various efforts such as collection of harvest bag data, promotion of wing surveys and contributions towards new management plans for species such as Common Eider, Common Pochard and Eurasian Wigeon.

We will generally focus on species in trouble. Many waterbird species are facing serious habitat loss, low breeding success and increased predation pressure along the flyway, and we hope to contribute towards a reversal of this trend.

Our vision is to ensure sustainable waterfowling opportunities for future generations.
